Spicy, explosive and full-bodied: the temperament of this Demeter espresso blend comes from its heritage. "Kaapi" is what farmers in southern India call the coffee they grow for us in the highlands of Kerala (1,000 meters above sea level). The conditions are ideal: the soil is rich in nutrients, and shade trees bend abundantly over the coffee bushes. The abundance of flora and fauna makes this tropical mountain region one of the most biologically diverse in the world. Using Demeter farming methods, the coffee growers at our partner plantation protect this unique landscape and harvest Arabica and Robusta coffees of rare quality.
