Cherry jam 320 g - Krokus
INGREDIENTS
cherries, sugar, glucose syrup (7%) - prevents saccharification, locust bean gum - thickening agent.

Made with 80 g of fruit per 100 g of product.
Cherries are fruits with very little pectin, so the jam is quite runny. We decided to add a little locust bean gum (a natural thickener) to thicken the syrup a bit, as requested by many of our customers.
The little bit of glucose syrup protects the jam from saccharification. Following the advice from Mari Ochorowicz Monatowa's cookbook from the early 20th century, we add a little of this syrup to the jam.
Cherry jam is an integral part of ice cream or chocolate pudding. We can serve it as an accompaniment to cottage cheese, yogurt, cereal, pancakes, pancakes, crumpets, omelets. Cherries drained from syrup are an excellent filling for donuts, croissants and other cakes. The remaining syrup can be used to make, for example, kisel or jelly.
