METHOD OF PREPARATION: At home, we prepare sprouts as follows: We take a flat plate, line it with gauze or other water-absorbent material. Pour a single layer of seeds onto the gauze and water, preferably boiled and lukewarm water. Replenish the water so that the gauze is wet all the time. Place the seeds in a warm and preferably dark place.
Depending on the species of germinable plant, sprouts appear after 2-4 days.
With coarse seeds, such as peas, soybeans, chickpeas, etc. or seeds with a shell, e.g. pumpkin, sunflower, we cut the sprouts before consumption, and use the small seeds whole.
