SENCHA GREEN TEA NO. 21
Sencha is the most widely drunk tea in Japan and the most famous green tea in the world. It has a delicately sweet, strongly refreshing flavor with grassy and buttery notes and a golden-green color. The word "sen-cha" (??) literally means "tea simmered" and refers to the brewing process typical of leaf teas, which involves pouring hot water over the dried leaves. This tea best conveys its exquisite flavor and aroma when brewed with soft, pH-neutral water. Moya Sencha no. 21 comes from organic cultivation on the island of Kiusiu.
Sencha is recommended for drinking in the morning. It is characterized by an exceptionally high content of stimulating and metabolism-accelerating caffeine, as its leaves come from an early harvest. Along with other Japanese green teas, it is the richest source of catechins and one of the most powerful antioxidants found in nature.
