Organic matcha from the second and third harvest. It is characterized by a strong aroma with a noticeable bitterness and a lighter shade of green. Recommended for matcha lattes, smoothies and as an addition to ice cream or baked goods.
Cooking Instructions
Pour a teaspoon of matcha tea with a small amount of warm water in a teapot and stir vigorously with a bamboo stirrer until all the matcha dissolves and a characteristic thick foam forms on the surface. Then slowly add water so that you get a portion of about 200 ml. A traditional bamboo chasen, or stirring stick, is best for stirring. Matcha can also be prepared using a handheld milk frother, and replace the traditional teapot with a glass or mug. The water should have a temperature of about 80°C. You can get it by using a kettle with a temperature gauge or by setting aside a regular kettle with boiling water for 10 minutes. Matcha should not be poured over boiling water because then it loses some of its nutritional properties.
