Plum jam is made from the węgierek plums, because it is from this variety that the best jam comes out: with intense color and distinctive flavor. Plums are rubbed together with their skin through thick strainers, so that the plum jam has a smooth consistency and valuable nutritional values from the skin are preserved. Then we thicken them in evaporators (vacuum cauldrons where the boiling temperature is 80°C), which allows us to preserve more valuable nutritional values than in products prepared at home.
Plum jam can be spread on bread with butter, toast, roll or croissant. Gingerbread sandwiched by this jam acquires a noble flavor. Plum jam combines well with natural cheese, cereals, rice cooked in milk. We suggest adding them to your morning oatmeal or muesli. You can also use them to make an interesting sauce for meat or plum soup.
