Compared to other cereals, they show lower caloric value and higher content of dietary fiber. Dietary fiber is divided into soluble and insoluble in water. The soluble fraction acts as a prebiotic, positively influencing the development and composition of intestinal microflora bacteria. Rye flakes are rich in minerals.
